Questions to Ask a DJ - SoundMaster DJs
Are you available on our wedding date?
The best way to find out is to reach out directly. I only book one wedding per day so your celebration has my full attention.
How much do you charge? What’s included?
My pricing is transparent and based on hours of coverage, planning support, and professional sound equipment.
Every wedding includes:
Professional DJ & MC services
High-quality sound system(s)
Music planning support
Coordination with your venue and vendors
Setup and breakdown
I’m happy to share current pricing once I know a little about your day.
How many hours of coverage do couples usually book?
Most couples book 5–6 hours, which comfortably covers the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. Additional time can be added if your timeline changes.
Do you provide your own equipment?
Yes. I provide all professional-grade sound equipment (Pioneer, RCF, Shure) needed for your event, along with backup gear on site.
Have you worked at our venue before?
I’ve worked at many venues throughout the Shenandoah Valley. If yours is new to me, I connect with the venue ahead of time to ensure everything runs smoothly.
Are you insured?
Absolutely. I carry full liability insurance, which many venues and planners require.
How long have you been a wedding DJ?
SoundMaster DJs has been providing wedding entertainment for over 30 years. Experience matters—especially when timelines shift, emotions run high, and moments matter.
Do you have reviews or testimonials?
Yes. Couples consistently mention my professionalism, calm presence, and ability to keep the day flowing without drawing attention away from what matters most.
What happens if something unexpected comes up and you can’t make it?
In the rare case of an emergency, I have access to trusted professional DJs who can step in. Your wedding will always be covered.
Can we choose our own music?
Yes. Your music matters. The Vibo Music App enables to you to select must-play songs, special moments (first dance, parent dances), and any do-not-play requests.
How do you handle guest song requests?
I welcome requests—as long as they fit your preferences and the tone of your event. Your vision always comes first.
Do you act as the MC?
Yes—when needed.
My style is polished, clear, and unobtrusive. I guide guests through key moments without turning your wedding into a performance.
What if our guests aren’t big dancers?
That’s completely okay. Not every wedding is a packed dance floor—and that doesn’t mean it isn’t a great celebration.
My focus is creating the right atmosphere for your guests, whether that’s dancing, mingling, or simply enjoying the moment.
Do you help with the wedding timeline?
Yes. I work with you and your planner to ensure the music and announcements support the flow of your day—so nothing feels rushed or awkward.
What do you need from us before the wedding?
Just a few simple planning details, which I’ll guide you through. My goal is to make this easy, organized, and stress-free.
If you’re looking for a DJ who’s professional, prepared, and focused on the flow of your day—not hype for hype’s sake—you’re in the right place.
